Have you ever taken a trip and accidentally bought a house??

Introducing Mike & Dee, Tim & Jess, James & Emma.
Founders of ‘A Weekend Away’…

Living in Sydney, we quite often travel around NSW on the weekends to escape the big city. It was on one of these weekends that our lives changed remarkably.

Six friends fell in love with Mudgee, and following a brief conversation outside a real estate agency, decided there was no harm in taking a look at a house that looked pretty amazing…arriving at the property we knew we had stumbled upon something special, we also knew this was something we were going to do together.

Three hours later, back in front of the log fire, the champagne was popped! Planning continued well into the night of how we would form a company, purchase this house and share this experience with everyone we can…so that’s what we did!

A Weekend Away was born and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. We are so thrilled to be able to provide accommodation for our family, friends and soon-to-be friends at our beautiful property.

Come and see why we fell in love!
